13th International Summer School in
Global Analysis and Applications

The 2008 Summer School is the 13th International Summer School in Global Analysis and Applications, organized every year since 1996 by Prof. D. Krupka and his collaborators. Like in the past, the programme of the school consists of two courses, delivered by recognized specialists in the field.
This year the main topic of the school will be the geometry of differential equations, symmetries and conservation laws. Lectures will be held by
During the school, a poster session will be organized, where the participants can present and discuss results of their own research, close to the topics of the school.
The school will be held in the congress hall of the town of Levoča, Slovakia (http://www.levoca.sk/en/english.htm), a town monument reservation located near the High Tatras mountains, in a touristically attractive region (http://www.spis.sk/en.html). Levoča is a famous international pilgrimage place (visit of the Pope Johannes Paulus II in 1995), among other important events we mention the summit of the presidents of the central-European countries in 1998 (http://www.levoca.sk/en/otecen.htm).

Course fee: 160 EUR
covers organizational expenses, lectures, course materials, refreshment, and social programme.
Registration fee for accompanying persons: 40 EUR
includes social programme (cultural events, trip) - partially sponsored by the Town of Levoča.

Accommodation
In Levoča there are many accommodation possibilities (e.g. here), however, we suggest the participants to choose and book the accommodation as soon as possible. The organizers have reserved a limited number of single and double rooms in the hotel "U Leva". Participants accommodated in the hotel "U Leva" will get 10% discount, pregraduate and postgraduate students 20% discount for accommodation. The participants who wish to use this offer are requested to contact the hotel directly (it is important to indicate intention to participate at the 13th International Summer School in Global Analysis and Applications). The offer is valid till 25 April, 2008. After this date the rooms may not be avilable.
